I'd be thrilled to read one of your stories! Below are general likes and dislikes, followed by additional notes for the fandoms, crossovers, and original works I requested.
Likes:
- Overall: This year I'm hoping for stories that are light and optimistic. I love humor, and enjoy angst with a happy ending. I like stories with food -- cooking and eating. I'm also fond of characters dancing -- both literal dances and dancing around a subject.
- Characters: I'm fine with including additional characters from canon beyond the ones I selected, and I welcome OCs as long as the canon characters are the stars.
- Settings: Let your imagination go wild. I enjoy AUs. Meta is also something I like.
- Rating: For the fandoms, my preference is PG-13 or milder. For original works, I'm open to any rating and kind of hoping for explicit.
Dislikes, Do Not Want:
- Death, terminal illnesses, mental illnesses, torture (mental, emotional, or physical), child abuse, animal abuse, extreme violence, blood, gore, or horror. Character bashing or humiliation. In summary, I don't want the characters to suffer too much.
- Incest, underage sex, scat, rape, slavery
- Politics, politicians, issuefic
- Depictions of war, or post-apocalyptic settings
Fandom specific:
- Schitt's Creek - I fell in love with these characters recently. I adore David and his family as fish out of water, and the reactions of their friends in town. Let them be happy and fabulous, and tell me what they're wearing.
- Red White & Royal Blue - Give me the love, friendship, and sarcasm these characters specialize in! I adored Alex freaking out about the turkeys, and something similar or related to that would be fun. Maybe an actual Thanksgiving that Alex and Henry spend together, where neither has any idea how to cook a turkey dinner but approach the task with massive overconfidence?
- Raven Cycle - I enjoy Ronan & Adam squabbling in humorous situations, and Blue and Henry trying to organize and/or commenting on the Ronan/Adam romance.
- Frozen - Olaf! My favorite part of the second movie was his recap of the first movie, and I'd love more of that -- perhaps recapping other Disney stories?
- SNL - I miss their segments on Weekend Update. I'd love one of Stefon's outrageous descriptions of places for tourists to visit, and flirting with Seth.
- Doctor Who - I'd like to see The Doctor taking companions on a vacation to see something wonderful, enjoying their reactions and perhaps reminiscing about adventures The Doctor had as a child. For the Doctor and the TARDIS, I prefer one of the first four Doctors.
- Wonder Woman - One of the things I enjoy about Wonder Woman is her sense of wonder. I'd love to see her pointing out things other characters take for granted that are really amazing or weird if you think about it.
- Lucifer - Give me Trixie at her most precocious, with the non-human characters completely out of their element.
- Doctor Who and Rocket Raccoon - I'd like to see Rocket obsessed with and trying to steal the sonic screwdriver. Bonus points if Groot is included.
- Thirteenth Doctor and Catherine Morland - Catherine is infamous for her overactive imagination. How would she react to the TARDIS?
- Thirteenth Doctor and Mary Poppins - Did Mary ever babysit the Doctor's granddaughter? How might Mary help the Doctor in her current incarnation? Perhaps sharing thoughts on what it's like to be a woman this time around?
- Thirteenth Doctor and Ford Prefect - Ford was a researcher for the Hitchhiker's Guide. Would the Doctor want to suggest corrections? Has Ford hitched a ride in the TARDIS before? Does he try to interview the Doctor about the ins and outs of time travel? Maybe Thirteen takes her companions to the Restaurant at the End of the Universe and runs into old pal Ford?
- Nancy Drew and Hercule Poirot - I'm just curious what they would think of each other, perhaps with one of them stumbling onto a case the other is working.
- Beleaguered Playwright/Actress cursed to ruin any show she's in - I'd prefer the curse to be something humorous, like she's accident prone or sings off key but she's very enthusiastic. Maybe the playwright realizes what she needs is a comedy.
- Fairies/Overpowered Adventurer who thought they'd be easy
- Fantasy Author who reincarnated into an ordinary farmboy/Male Hero from his books - I imagine the farmboy remembers his past life, grumbles about what he's done to deserve this farming life and then being VERY HAPPY he was reincarnated as someone who gets to be with his hero
- Female Court Painter/Princess sitting for a painting
- Female Punk Musician/Uncomfortably enthusiastic Female Groupie
- Little-known male rock singer/His #1 Fan who is a Famous Male Actor
- Mad Scientist/Delivery Boy who's starting to worry about this guy's sodium intake - this one made me laugh. I'd love a well-meaning delivery boy who's oblivious to what the scientist is up to.
- Male 70s Glam Rock Star/Male Groupie
- Male Spy in training/Male Spymaster testing his ability to resist aphrodisiac drugs - I wasn't sure which one is trying to resist the drugs, and I don't really care; I just want him to fail.
- Musician/Rival Musician who's more popular
- Pop Star/Fan/Bodyguard - I envision a female singer, with a male fan and male bodyguard vying for her attention and finally joining efforts
- Queen who is the last of her line/Male Consorts vying to father her heir
- Regency Heroine/Tentacle Alien
- Retired Male Superhero/Male Supervillian who keeps seeking him out because he misses him
- Victorian Lady who can handle a dagger/Male Cat Burglar who climbed in her window
