When last we checked in with Jack, he'd been reunited with Diana and Matthew in the present.
Harm's Repair ended at roughly the same time as the canon novel
The Book of Life. Throughout the series, my goal was to fill in some of the blanks in Jack's life while adhering as closely as possible to canon. But in
Harm's Repair, I added the twist that Jack, like Diana and Matthew's twins, is a Bright Born. That set me to daydreaming about what his future would be like.
So little is known about the abilities of Bright Borns. Conceivably, their combination of daemon, witch, and vampire DNA could produce unexpected results. Some of them appear in
Wolf Moon, my latest Six-Crossed Knot story.
As you can imagine, all won't be smooth sailing for Jack. As for Gerbert d'Aurillac,
he managed to escape any serious repercussions from his misdeeds in my earlier stories. Will his luck continue, or will he finally pay a price?
